New 1313 Main fine wine bar expands wine tasting options in Downtown Napa
The new 1313 Main upscale wine bar and lounge in Downtown Napa opens officially on May 27th. It is the latest addition to Downtown Napa’s wine tasting scene that differentiates itself by offering a range of local and international wines that are hard to find by the glass and available in 2 oz. and 5 oz. pours. Even better, the price points are accessible, allowing wine lovers to discover wines they wouldn’t normally buy by the bottle. For example, Kistler Chardonnay at $7 per 2 oz. pour.
According to proprietor and seasoned wine merchant Al Jabarin, his goal is to introduce more wines to more people by offering limited availability wines by the glass and by no less than nine creative flights at a time. Jabarin’s desire to expand guests’ discovery of wine is enhanced by regular vintner tastings, wine events and rotating themes around wine regions or varietals. They are also a merchant with over 1,000 wines – about 55-65% of that domestic.
The venue is about 3,600 sq. feet with an open floor plan welcoming guests to stroll between the two tasting bars and lounge areas. The decor is modern, with dark wood panelling and cushy seating. There is also a large conference room with flat screen monitor available for private tastings, classes and events.
1313 Main serves small plates such as cheese and charcuterie, which selection will likely expand with well-known Napa Valley chef Sarah Scott acting as culinary advisor.
1313 Main, north of First Street in Downtown Napa is open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm Sundays – Thursdays and 11:00 am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
